All right today we're going to talk about how to solve quadratic equations using the quadratic formula. You know what the quadratic formula is: square root B squared minus c squared, over negative 4times a times c. So we need to take an example problem and put it make sure it's in standard form. identify our A and B so we're going to go ahead and make up examples. Let's use this example what are you equals negative 3x squared plus 2X so we have our quadratic problem. Now what we want to do is make sure we identify the ABC first everything on one side. everything is so this is the Y value in nothing at the moment so everything is over one side so that's good so we don't have to move anything. If there was something over, that we have what we call the standard quadratic positioning which is going to be represented by so it's going to be a x squared e x + C equals 0 what are the coefficient of the x squared is that so in this example of the x squared is or what -3 So we always want a problem just the X coefficient for the X I'm 2 so it's probably 2 and the C is a positive for it's kind. Let's plug-in show simple math the following quadratic formula up there we're going to go ahead and write the square roof at the two squares Square mine is at -4 is automatically there has to be a value for all that divided by 2 times a negative and a negative 2 plus or minus. tell me how to square this for the 4 - 4 * 3 is 12 and -12 * 4 is -48 at the moment so we put -48 and then we're going to go ahead and  just repeat that negative times a negative is a positive. so that would equal this right here so we change these two plus so it's going to be 52 all over negative 6 so this would be our final answer. We can break that down in the two parts because of the plus or minus part right here. So actually be -2 + 4 + 52/9 + -2 - √ 52 who get two answers right there but we can leave a shortcut like that because we're a bit lazy in math and we don't need to waste paper. all right so that's how we do an example problem quadratic formula solving.
