Welcome to Fred W. Edwards Academy, an alternative high school in Temple ISD for accelerated instruction.  My name is Tricia Mitchell and am proud to serve as the Principal for this campus.  I was born and raised in Temple and graduated from Temple High School.  I am excited to serve the community that raised me.  After graduating from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, I started my career in education as a high school drill team director over 25 years ago.  I married my high school sweetheart and we have two children.  Hunter graduated last year from UT Austin and is entering Law School at the University of Houston and my daughter, Liv is entering 8th grade.  My priority as Principal is to see that our students see and reach their highest potential and leave us with a plan for their future.
